I cannot say enough about the quality and professionalism of Peltier Building.  Over a year ago, Joe came in and gave me an estimate to remodel my two bathrooms.  It was a challenging job, as we needed to add an area for a stacked washer dryer unit, without losing any of the functionality of the two (small!) baths.  He came up with the most innovative solution, at an excellent price.  Unfortunately, I couldn't move forward with the project at that time, but after a year's delay, Joe was able to reassess the estimate and stay almost within the original bid.  More importantly, he was able to do the work while I was in and out of town for nearly two months.  Joe was completely professional, entirely trustworthy, and the two bathrooms turned out better than I'd imagined.  I actually have a little more room than I did before, due to some creative reworking of the interior walls, and everything from the tile work to the trim is absolutely perfect.  Joe is easy to work with, and he is meticulous in his accounting.  At every stage of the process, I knew exactly where we stood in terms of the budget.  I cannot recommend Peltier Building more highly.  If you are looking for a contractor you can trust who does high quality work, Joe is your guy.

Mr. Peltier gave us a fair estimate for the work and answered all questions quickly. He is very courteous and punctual. He communicates very well with everything from procedures to progress. He is VERY thorough with his work and closely monitors subcontractors. He went above and beyond the call of duty by modifying our unusually large medicine cabinet in order for it to fit and look right. We are completely satisfied with the work performed by Mr. Peltier and would recommend him to everyone. We are planning to use him for our next big project.

I just bought a house that had a valley rafter with a split in it.  I sent out several email on a Friday afternoon to 5 or 6 companies on Angie List with a picture and a description of what I needed to get a estimate and a timeline on when they could repair it.  One or two basically said they didn't do stuff that small.  Joe on the other hand, took a look at the picture, called me up and asked if he could drop by some time this weekend to take a look at it.  He said he could probably repair it for a couple of hundred dollars.  Sure enough Sunday afternoon I got a call form Joe asking if it would be OK to drop by.  I met him over at the house and we went upstairs to look at the problem.  Joe sized up the issue and described how he would take care of it.  What he told he was exactly in line with what our house inspector told us would need to be done to make the repair.   So we went downstairs and back out to his truck and I figured he was going to set up a time to come back and fix it.  NOPE.  Joe walked over to his truck, popped open his tailgate and grabbed his saw.  Rather astonished I asked him, "Are you gonna fix it now"  Joe said yep sure will.  I asked him how much.   He said, 200 just like I told you.  I was blown away.  Not only did me not try to gauge me but he fixed the issue right on the spot for exactly what he said.  For having companies tell me they wouldn't even bother with this to someone who came out on a Sunday and fixed the issue right then an there was an AWESOME experience.  Thanks Joe.  I will be reaching out to you when we start adding on our own touches to the house!!  In fact I need to call him tomorrow about something!
PS I got a few phone calls from some of the other companies on Monday wanting to do an estimate and I had to giggle a little when I told them I had already had it fixed.

Remodeling - General

We got them from Angie's List. He was very, very professional and very friendly. I called him up and he came over very quickly, and gave us a quote. We hired them to do a job based on his response and his quote was very good. We had to run into a phone line in the closet down the hallway because my wife works from the house and of course when you build the house, you don't put phone jacks in every room and she needs a dedicated line. We had ran it upstairs where the office used to be so we had to figure out a way to do it without going 30 feet and punching holes in the wall. Joe thought about it and came back the next day and said, In this hallway if we put a crown molding we could slide it up the edge and come to the upper wall of the closet and run right into the hallway through the crown molding and drop it down on the wall. That was inexpensive and actually made the hallway look nicer. He came up with a great idea to save us money and get the phone line to run. He was just so nice and friendly. He added up suggestions and he got the work done. He called one morning when he was supposed to be there and said he can't come to work because of his kidney stone. The very day they got him out, he was back here to work. He's a very, very good man. He's very professional. I had 2 other quotes and his price was actually below them. His price was very good for what I got from his quality work. His quality was excellent. He came back 2 days later after he painted and set up to check the walls to make sure everything was square, that there are no cracks and any pain issues. I called him up and he was there late that afternoon, he does right on schedule, and took care of everything for us. We will use him again to replace the sliders on the back of the house.

We are very pleased with our choice of Peltier Building and Renovation for our 2013 complete kitchen remodel.  Joe established clear time lines early in the renovation process and consistently stayed on schedule throughout the project. He communicated with us daily about the events of the day, was prompt and courteous and cleaned up the site at the end of each day. 

The kitchen was completed 6 months ago and we are very happy with how well it turned out.  By enlarging the opening between the kitchen and den, Joe was able to provide us with a more open floor plan.  We also have much improved storage and a great layout that has given us more usable countertop space.  Joe was fair and transparent in his pricing. He was in constant communication with any subcontractor, made sure he was at our house when they arrived and held them to the highest standard.  We would not hesitate to call Joe for any future remodeling needs and highly recommend Peltier Building and Renovation.

I recently had our master bath shower replaced and solicited several quotes. Joe was very professional, not pushy or salesy in any way. I could tell he was looking at the project from the perspective of a construction person and not a sales person. He had good suggestions and ideas. Pricing was very fair and transparent. Most importantly, the quality of work and end result was fantastic. He did a great job and we are very pleased with the new shower. I would definitely reach out to Joe again on future projects and recommend him to anyone doing renovation work.

Joe has exceeded all of my expectations.  He delivered as promised in every aspect of the job. I am a Plumbing Contractor who recently moved from Los Angeles to Charlotte........ and I don't know anyone here. 

Joe is a true artisan and takes great pride in everything he does.   I am also very detail-oriented and I am not easily pleased or impressed  by most tradesmen.  Let me tell you, "Joe is the real deal!!!" Any work that he takes on will be a painless experience at a fair price.

It was an excellent experience.  He communicates everything extremely well.  Everything he is going to do is explained very well.  He followed up and did everything he said he would do.   The quality of the work was outstanding.  Being an architect, married to an interior designer, we are both very picky.  We actually rendered drawings for him to use and incorporate into our jobs.  He was able to understand and use the drawings for the projects and even offer tips to make our vision turn out even better.  My wife and I would highly recommend him to anyone with any variety of scope of projects.

Responsive.  Customer focused.  Uncompromising quality.  Flexible.  Creative. Great listener.  On-time for work and appointments.  These are just a few of the positive characteristics experienced before, during and after our master bath renovation with Peltier Construction.  I highly recommend Joe and his sub-contractors for any residential improvement job.  

Our family was in need of a complete master bathroom renovation and after reviewing the contractors on Angies List, Joe was my logical first call.  Ten minutes after leaving my initial message, Joe returned my call and asked to stop by later that afternoon.  Very impressive.  Upon arrival, Joe listened carefully to our concerns, surveyed our existing bathroom and asked lots of great questions about what we were looking for in the end product.  He was always courteous and professional. 

After an additional visit, Joe brought us a couple of well thought out designs and explained the benefits of each.  He exceeded expectations by continuing to refine the designs based on our input before we even signed the contract.  He was very conscious of establishing his ability to execute the job flawlessly, which gave us a high level of confidence.  This made our decision easy after interviewing two other contractor candidates. 

Joe established a clear project plan with us prior to starting the job.  He gave us expected dates for selection of required materials.  This roadmap was invaluable in keeping my wife and I on track with providing inputs to the job.  Joe has a great routine of communicating upcoming activities and potential pitfalls- we had a brief five minute conversation each morning and evening where he shared the days progress and proactively asked questions we would never even think of.  We had a couple of curveball requests for our bathroom, but Joe always took it in stride and did the extra research to make it work. Joe and all of his subs also were very clean, making sure to spend time at the end of each day sweeping and organizing.

Joe has very high standards for his sub-contractors.  His tile guy did great work and showed an impressive attention to detail.  In addition, Joe does a lot of his own work which was done with extremely high quality.  Seemed every detail was well thought out and executed. 

We were fortunate to have only ONE marginally bad experience during the entire renovation (which was a very positive surprise, as adversity seems to be a part of any renovation).  The granite counter install (performed by sub-contractor) was not up to our standard of quality.  Joe quickly turned this into a positive by immediately returning our call and taking action to "make it right."  Within one day, he had it installed perfectly and shared his feedback / expectations with the vendor.

In the end, we wound up with a spectacular, high quality master bathroom.  Joe has indicated his willingness to handle any post completion issues.  We believe him, but happy to report we haven't had to call on him!  Excellent work and experience, Joe!  He will definitely be at the top of the list for our next project.

We contacted Joe at approximately the beginning of the year to explore some inside renovations that we wanted to have performed which included the removal of an old second kitchen and the conversion of the old kitchen plumbing and electrical to a new half bath.
My wife and I were very impressed from the start.  We had two other contractors evaluate the job and they seemed okay, but we wanted to have one more evaluation after coming across Joe's company.  We are so happy we did since he was great to work with and was involved with the entire project from start to finish!
He obviously takes great pride in the work he performs and any issues that we had with the subcontractors, which were minimal, he took care of immediately.  He ensured that a quality job was performed.  He took care of all the permitting for us and everything went very smoothly.  
He did an excellent job coordinating the plumbing and electrical work.  In fact we enjoyed working with his electrician so much that we actually decided to add the recess lighting to the job.
We will definitely contact Joe in the future for other renovation projects.

The first day after hiring Mr. Peltier he was more than happy be to invoved in the planning process.  We had an overall idea of what we wanted, but we were not 100% sure in regards to some of the minute details.  He was extremely helpful during the planning stage.  We gave him our ideas for the cabinets that we wanted, and he suggested that we have them custom made by a manufacturer that he uses on a regular basis.  He was very fortcoming with suggestions that he thought would and would not work.  We were very impressed with a minor detail that he pointed out that all the other companies we talked to did not ( we would need to take a door out in order to get the new cabinets and granite to fit properly).  Three days after construction started, we took an 8 day vacation.  The entire time that we were on vacation, Mr. Peltier stayed in touch via email and text message.  While on vacation, we received several images depicting the progress that was being made on the project.  Mr. Peltier was very prompt and very responsive to any questions that we had.  The quality, workmanship, and attention to detail that Mr. Peltier gives to his work is extremely top notch.  The overall deadline was not met, but that was due to material delays from a vendor.  Even though there were delays, that did not delay Mr. Pletier.  We will definately hire Mr. Pletier to perform any additional projects that may come up in the future and would definately recommend Mr. Peltier.
